Chiropractic Care

Sometimes we need a little help getting straightened out.

Chiropractic (literally “done by hand”) is a system of diagnosis and treatment that is a beautiful combination of ancient wisdom and Western science. The original concept, put forth by Daniel David Palmer in 1895, was based on the idea that the nervous system coordinates all of the body’s many functions, and that disease results from a lack of normal nerve function. This is reminiscent of both Traditional Chinese Medicine’s theory of chi/qi (energy) flow and of osteopathy’s concept of restrictions in blood flow leading to dysfunction. The unifying theme in all of these systems is that the body, as a wonderful self-healing organism, can formulate its own remedies against diseases when the body is in a normal structural relationship, has a normal environment, and enjoys good nutrition.

Can chiropractic help you? It’s widely known that adjustments are often sought for relief of both acute and chronic back pain, but treatments can help relieve headaches, foot/heel pain (e.g., plantar fasciitis), carpal tunnel syndrome, vertigo, and more. If you’ve never been adjusted, or had a negative experience at another office, give us a try - you’ll be glad you did!
